Honiton Enterprise Club
What's it all about?Enterprise Clubs are a Great Britain wide initiative targeted at unemployed people interested in self-employment.
The
main aim of the Enterprise Club is to help unemployed people in the
community to make the most of local knoweldge and resources to become
self-employed or start their own business. The Enterprise Club
provides a place to meet and exchange skills & knowledge, make
contacts, share experiences, receive support and encourage each other to
work through their business ideas. The Enterprise Club is very much
about it's members which is why BIP works hard to make sure
they get the information and support they want from the club. BIP invite local professionals such as accountants, bank managers,
marketing experts etc to be guest speakers over the weeks.
The
Enterprise Club also complements the support offered by the New
Enterprise Allowance (available to people who have been receiving
Jobseeker's Allowance for six months or more).
BIP also formed the Okehampton Enterprise Club in 2011, which was the first in Devon.
