More Volunteer Business Mentors Needed

Could you be a Volunteer Business Mentor

and help an unemployed person to start in business? It only takes a couple of hours a month, for a few months.

761 new businesses have started in Devon and Cornwall thanks to BIPs mentors and partners, through the New Enterprise Allowance. The Department of Work and Pensions have acknowledged the success of the programme by extending BIP's contract and increasing the numbers to be supported during 2014.

Because of this BIP require more people with business experience to act as volunteer mentors. This is not a time consuming role and most of the bank of 120 mentors give around an hour a week at times to suit them. BIP provides training, support and a mileage payment. The clients also receive support from a Business Advisor.

Please contact BIP if you would like to learn more about mentoring and the New Enterprise Allowance by calling Freephone 0330 1000338 or by emailing team@bipwestdevon.biz
